Quitting smoking isn’t easy – but it’s one of the best things you can do for your health and the health of those around you. Los Angeles County has made tremendous progress in reducing the rate of smoking over the past generation, but smoking is still a problem here. Nearly 9,000 lives are lost each year as more than one million adults in LA County continue to smoke. And the more people smoke, the more others are exposed to the toxic chemicals in secondhand smoke.

By working together, we can reduce the level of tobacco use and LA County can be a healthier place for all residents.
